Everyone wants a scholarship, but only a few people get them. There are millions out there that go unused on an annual basis, because people aren’t aware of them.
Scholarships are different from loans, because it doesn’t need to be paid back and looks brilliant on any resume/CV. In this article we will be mentioning a few scholarship opportunities available so that our STUDENTS don’t miss out on these fantastic openings.
1. The SINGA PhD Awards for International Students in Singapore
Study Subject: Applicants can pursue a PhD degree in any field or study which they can demonstrate interest and capability. The PhD projects under SINGA are research based, not clinically based.
Eligibility: Open to all international students
Number of Awards Available: 240 SINGA Awards will be given every year to top students all over the world.
What does it cover?
- The stipend amount it SGD 24,000 annually to be increased to SGD 30,000 aftergg passing qualifying examination.
- Full Support for tuition fees for 4 years of PhD studies.
- One-time SGD 1,000 Setting-in Allowance
- One-time Airfare Grant of SGD 1,500

2. International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) at UWA in Australia, 2014
Study Subject: Scholarships are provided to learn any of the courses offered by the University of Western Australia
Eligibility: Open to all international students
Duration of Award: 4 years
What does it cover?
- International tuition fees for upto 4 years
- Student health cover
- Successful applicants will be awarded a full living allowance scholarship

3. 2013/14 Faculty of Medicine Awards at University of Calgary in Canada
Study Subject: Scholarships are provided in the field of medicine
Eligibility:
- Open to students entering or continuing in the Doctor of Medicine program at the University of Calgary
- Students in year two or three of the Doctor of Medicine program must be in satisfactory academic standing to be eligible for these awards
- Students entering the Bachelor of Health sciences or Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation program are not eligible.
- Students continuing in the Bachelor of Health Sciences or Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation program are not eligible for these awards
- Scholarships Open for International Students.
What does it cover?
- Award funds are split into two equal payments over Fall and Winter Terms and are automatically applied to outstanding tuition fees.

4. PhD Studentship in the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, UK 2013
Study Subject: Studentship is provided by the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences offered by the University at PhD level.
Eligibility:
- Students should have the potential to work under your own initiative
- Students should have, or expect to receive a minimum of UK 2:1 honours degree in Chemistry (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area.
- Scholarship Open for International Students
Number of Awards: One award is offered
What does it cover?
The studentship will cover the cost of tuition fees for UK/EU residents plus a maintenance grant of £13,590 (2012/13 rate).

5. International Scholarships for Undergraduate Students at Nottingham Trent University in UK, 2013
Study Subject: Scholarships are provided for studying any one of the courses offered by Nottingham Trent University, UK
Eligibility:
- An offer of a place in NTU
- Applicants must be classes as overseas for tuition purpose
- Applications must be new international students starting on a new course.
- Scholarship Open for International Students
What does it cover? Total offer is about:
- For international scholarship: £2,000
- For undergraduate scholarship: £2,000 per year for a three year course
- For International Baccalaureate Scholarship: £2,000 per year for a three year course
- Vietnam Scholarship: £4,000
- For Iraq Scholarship: £2,000
