BMMK celebrates the Wiladat of Imam Hasan Al – Askari (as)

Updated 27 April 2010

In celebrating the Wiladat of the eleventh Imam, Imam Hasan Al-Askari (as) Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya (BMMK) organised a  function on   10 April 2010 at Bilal Hall, Mombasa.

After the recitation from the Holy Quran, a breathtaking Qaswida praising the Ahlul Bayt of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w) in the form of a poem recited by students from Madrasah Amirul Mu’minin, Matuga captured the attention of the attendants.

Sharrif Aidarus Mzee Mwenye, a renowned orator and A’lim from Lamu delivered the main speech. In his speech, he weaved through the socio-political and religious situation during the Imam’s time right from his childhood to his final martyrdom by the Abbassids regime through poisoning. The audience was agape as he further explained the difficult times that our Imam lived in detention at the military camp in Samura.

Takbirat and salawat were echoed as the audience who had turned into students, learnt that the successive Imam thereafter was to be in ghayb: the Imam of our time, Imam Muhammad Al Mahdi (a.j.f)

In his closing remarks Sharrif Aidarus Mzee Mwenye encouraged Muslims across the globe to study the rich Islamic history which would indeed help them in dealing with their present challenges.

Dua was recited by Ustadh Athman Swabir followed by Ziarat of the Maasumin led by a student of the Zahra Madrasah, Mombasa followed by Niyaz.
