As students from around the world returned to their spiritual home, the WF Qum Office resumed the popular bi-weekly sessions with Sayyid Mahmood Kaviani on ethics and spiritual development. The sessions resumed during the last week of September and Sayyid continued with his discussion topic – “Hubbullah” – the Love of the Almighty (swt).

Over the course of his sessions, he has delved deep into this topic and explained that one of the most effective way to reach spiritual proximity to the Beloved (swt) is through Love. One who enters the “city of Love” cannot do anything out of desire, nor out of fear and does not see anything apart from Beauty!  The lover becomes a true obedient as the key factor of action is Love. In that “city of Love”, whatever is performed is considered as act of worship.

 In addition, he explained that one needs to act on what one knows from the laws of the Almighty (swt) and continue to express love towards the ‘Ayaal’ (Family) of Allah (swt) which is his creation – from low-level beings to very complex ones such as humans. All such actions and others would lead towards a human who has taken steps towards achieving the primary aim in life – to become a God-conscious being.
In his next sessions, Sayyid will stress on the love of the Ahl al-Bait (as) according to the Holy Qur’an and Hadith, Insha’Allah.
