The World Federation is currently working with the Az Zahra Association (AZA) of Sri Lanka, in a pilot project to promote Islamic Education in various regions in Sri Lanka. The project aims at providing information on the Shia school of thought through the medium of general education.
Through engagement, discussion and support, AZA hopes to provide further information on Islam and inspire them with the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt.

Recently, five individuals met with AZA, held discussions and embraced Islam. AZA has managed to find volunteers who have devoted their time to teaching the new Muslims to pray, recite the Holy Quran, and recite duas.
Az Zahra Association also distributed some Islamic Books in Tamil and Sinhala as well so that they could take them home, as well as some exercise books and pens for their children.
Az Zahra Association hopes to visit Nuwara Eliya once again during the first week of October (Insha Allah).
