Considering the use of computer technology in almost every sphere of life, it is important for everyone to have at least the basic knowledge of using computers.  This is also why the education system has made computer education a part of school curriculum.

Keeping this in mind, The World Federation India office is planning a Certified Course in Computers for Hawza students in Mumbai. By the time the students graduate from the Hawza they will be well versed with computers.

The course is tailor-made to suit the non-English background of the students. The curriculum involves basics of computers, application software like MS Word & Powerpoint, Internet browsing & email.

This pilot project is being worked out with Jamiatul Amiral Mumineen (as) at Najafi House. The Principal of the Hawza, Maulana Sayyid Ahmedali Abedi commented “We are grateful to The World Federation for this cause. We are sure the course will add value to the Ulema’s knowledge and will in turn benefit the community at large”

An introductory lecture was organised along with an entrance test. The results will be evaluated and students will be enrolled into Fast Track and Normal Track courses.
   


“We plan to start the classes in the month of Shawwal as currently the students are busy preparing for their annual exams followed by their annual vacations in the month of Ramadhan” said Asad Virani, Manager of India Office. “The students are very enthusiastic and are looking forward to start ASAP”
