To put succinctly into words the benefits of the Madinah and Bab course, of which I had the opportunity to attend this past summer, would not do justice to the experience. I gained in many realms.
With respect to acquiring Islamic knowledge, an ongoing journey, we were truly fortunate to be taught, enlightened and guided by such knowledgeable, respectable and humble teachers.
In terms of development of my personal growth and love and understanding of my faith, this experience nourished that thoroughly. There was such a jam-packed schedule of a variety of daily activities, on top of classes and ziyarat visits. And this was all the more enjoyable with a superb group of girls of similar ages, yet variety of backgrounds. From all over the world, we converged there, and were united in our growth of the self. All this through many laughs and good times, especially during our stay at the beautiful Jamiatuz Zahra, which was, for me, one of the best parts of the trip.
I will never forget the hospitality shown to us by the 'maders', nor the trips to the masjid in the mornings, and the spiritual, homely atmosphere there.
On a day to day basis, we were looked after by an amazing group of hardworking mentors to make our stay in this blessed land memorable.
Above all, it was so soothing and humbling to stay in close proximity of our blessed Imam and his honourable sister, Lady Masuma. It was truly an honour to take part in such an unforgettable course, and one I would strongly encourage others to do.
