The Islamic Education department of The World Federation of KSIMC is pleased to announce the appointment of Shaykh Komail Rajani as the new manager of the WF Qum Office.
Shaykh Komail was born in Mahuva India in 1980. After completing his SSC exams, he joined the Hawza in Qum in 1998. He has since completed his BA and MA in Comparative Religions, with a special focus on Indian religions. His MA thesis was titled, 'Bohras: in the Scrolls of History and Ideas'.
He is now pursuing a PhD in Comparative Hadith Studies. He has been attending Dars e Kharij, the highest stage of Hawza study prior to becoming a Mujtahid, for the last two years.
On a personal endeavour, he has authored a short tafsir on the Qur’an and the Nahjul Balagha.
As well as being a senior and respected student, has been a teacher for BA and MA students in Madrasah Imam Khomeini of Qum for the last five years, and teaches Usool e Kafi, History of Religions, Shia history and a module on Islamic Scriptures.
He is an active muballigh and has spoken in jamaats in India, Tanzania,and Madagascar in both Muharram and Ramadhan. He lives by the motto: 'serve Islam and serve mankind', in reference to Imam Ali's words to Malik e Ashtar: (people) are either your brethren in religion or your brethren in humanity.
Sayyid Aliraza Naqvi stated, "It is indeed a pleasure to welcome Shaykh Komail on board as the new manager in Qum. Shaykh Komail brings with him a tremendous amount of knowledge and dedication to the Hawza, coupled with the drive of developing our community in areas of Islamic education and awareness. It will now be his challenge to bring forth the immense potential that Qum contains for the betterment of the students and the community, Inshallah."
The World Federation would like to thank the previous Qum Office manager, Shaykh Nadir Jaffer, for all his hard work and for steering the office for the last few years. Shaykh Abbas Ismail stated, "Shaykh Nadir brought a real community spirit to the office and managed to move the Madinah and Bab courses to a new level of excellence. His efforts and his friendly personality will be missed by us all. Inshallah we pray for his tawfeeq and continued success, and will be relying on his support as a member of the Islamic Education team for years to come."
