By the grace of Allah, The World Federation’s Qum Office has successfully facilitated a short course for sisters in collaboration with Jamiatuz Zahra in Qum. In this first batch, five sisters from different part of the world were accepted by Jamiatuz Zahra.
This was made possible due to the excellent rapport building efforts with Sayyid Musawi Tabaar, Head of The Department of International Affairs at Jamiatuz Zahra. The World Federation’s Qum Office role is to facilitate the process by acting as a link between community members and Jamiatuz Zahra. The Qum Office is able to respond to queries, enable the fast-tracking of the applications and also assists with the course content.
The five sisters are:
Sayyida Suniya Batool - Canada
Sayyida Farwa Batool- Canada
Sister Masuma Kassam - UK
Sister Sumaira Ahmed - Canada
Sister Dua Zahra Noorani – Pakistan
At present, Theology, History, Studies in Comparative Religions and Persian language are the main subjects of the course.
One of the sisters commented, “We are really enjoying our learning experience in Jamiatuz Zahra, with its unique spiritual Hawza environment.”
Sayyid Musawi Tabaar expressed, “We are ready to co-operate with The World Federation to organize such courses. The next batch will be announced after successful completion of the first batch.”

Jamiatuz Zahra (sa) is the largest Islamic university and seminary dedicated to education for sisters from all over the world. Every year hundreds of sisters enrol for a variety of courses offered by Jamiatuz Zahra (sa) in different fields. At present, there are around nine hundred international students from more than forty countries and thousands of other students from all over Iran studying at this huge institution.
