The World Federation celebrates the Wiladat of Imam Ali b Abi Talib (as)

Updated 4 June 2013

The wiladat programme lecture was delivered by Sayyid Muhammad Reza Kazmi. Sayyid narrated a story of a man named ‘Aswad’ whose hand was cut by Imam Ali (as) in accordance with the punishment of theft. He was later asked who had ruled on this matter, and instead of abusing Imam Ali (as) for punishing him, he began to praise the Imam, citing this reason: ‘Why should I not praise him? His love has integrated into my whole body!’ The speaker then addressed the audience and asked some questions: are we at such level of love with our beloved Imam, where he may punish us but that would not shake our love for him?

Sayyid then cited a number of unique honours given to Imam Ali (as) and his mother.
