A key feature of the work of The World Federation Islamic Education team has always been the honourable institution of Madrasah. The Madrasah has been responsible for a tremendous achievement over the years of educating, training and nurturing our younger generation into spiritual and God-conscious individuals.
Our forefathers have given significant sacrifices in founding this institution and have taken great care in passing this sublime gift to us. WF Islamic Education now intends to build upon the good work of the past and enhance the Madrasah agenda by bringing it to the forefront and giving it the importance it deserves by allocating significant time and resources to it.
The first step will be a global Madrasah Retreat that is being organised for February 2011. Representatives of all community Madrasahs from across the world will be invited, as well as other experts and activists. The Retreat has been designed to allow participants to add their valuable points to the discussions and thereby shape the future direction of the institution of Madrasah.
Parents, guardians, teachers, students, community leaders, scholars, Jamaat executives, and regional federations all have a role to play in assisting WF Islamic Education in this task. This can be done through your valuable input through time, intellect, finance, duas, or even merely moral support.
The Islamic Education team requests Madrasah teachers, parents, students, and Muballigheen to assist with the collection of data around the Madrasah. A short and simple questionnaire that will take only minutes to complete has been designed. The data will form a vital part of the Madrasah Retreat in February. The deadline for completion of the questionnaire is 24 December 2010.
