Women’s Needs Workshop and online survey – participation requested

Updated 27 October 2010

The Women’s’ Needs Assessment is an initiative of the World federation of KSIMC in conjunction with regional federations with the purpose of carrying out a worldwide evaluation on the various needs of women in communities and centres across the world in order to better meet their needs.

In order to develop the infrastructure of the project a variety of information from the regions on the types of services and provisions offered to women, between the ages of 18-60, in their respective communities is required.

This would include all areas and aspects of service and are not limited to:

  • Education
  • Employment & training opportunities
  • Spirituality
  • Family life
  • Health
  • Politics
  • Jamaat participation
  • Marriage
  • Parenting
  • Divorce
  • Social interaction

In order to develop a full picture and gather information on areas that may have been covered within your Jamaat and also to look at the other needs that may have to be addressed, all ladies are invited to attend the Women’s Needs Initiative being held on Sunday 7 November at MKSI Masjid Al Husayn, 17A Duxbury Road, Leicester, LE5 3LR.

View poster for information on the workshop.

In addition, an online Women’s’ Needs survey has also been designed for ladies across the various regions.  This questionnaire is part of the process which will allow the team to understand what women are currently offered and experiencing within their communities.  Your views and comments are vital in assisting to develop programmes which would be beneficial to women. Please take a few minutes to complete the following survey: http://links.world-federation.org/WomensNeedsAssesment2010All responses will be private and confidential.
