Updated 11 May 2010
On Monday 3 May 2010 at 2:21 pm, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake took place 30 kilometres west of Port au Prince in Haiti.
Whilst this was a relatively smaller quake to the one that hit on 12 January 2010, the fear of reliving another disaster looms in the hearts of the residents.
On 4 May 2010, a phone call from Br. Shu’ayb of the Al Mahdi Islamic Centre in Haiti informed The World Federation that the buildings that did not collapse completely during the last earthquake did so during this one – resulting in some injuries.
The World Federation of KSIMC continues to work closely with the Al Mahdi Islamic Centre and NASIMCO to provide support and relief to the families and children in Haiti.
