With us now going into the final days of Mahe Ramadhan, The World Federation would like to thank everyone who got involved in raising funds and awareness for Ramadhan Relief Fund.
 
Since the beginning of Ramadhan we have received over 17,000 hits on our Facebook page and web site, Allhumdulilah.
 
This year we saw the launch of the “Share Your Sandwich” campaign, which allows you to share your sandwich with those who are less fortunate then us.  To us, a sandwich is not a big thing…It costs us on average £2 and we don’t even think twice about spending that money.
 
Just think….by donating the cost of a sandwich (£2) you will:

•                  Provide Iftaar for two days to a family of 4
•                  Provide Clean Water to a family for a week

Or by Donating a months’ worth of Sandwich’s (£60) you will:

•                  Provide iftaar for 3 families for the month of Ramadhan
•                  Provide Clean Drinking Water for 2 months
 
Our target was to raise £2000, however with the support and generosity of everyone we have achieved £2698, at the time of publishing this article, with the Grace of Allah (SWT).  We would also like to thank Busy Mummy’s for their support.  Every like they receive on their Facebook page they donate a sandwich, so please visit www.facebook.com/busymummys and like their page and share your sandwich!
 
Inshallah our new aim is to raise over £3000 by the end of Ramadhan.  Will you share your sandwich with someone who needs it on www.justgiving.com/sandwich?
 
We have also been able to secure a donor who will donate £1 for every like we receive on the Ramadhan Relief Facebook page.  We are currently on 600 likes and need your help to increase this.  Every like gives a hungry Muslim food for Iftar for that day…it just takes a few seconds so please go to www.facebook.com/ramadhanrelief and hit the “Like” button.  We need to get to at least 1000 likes and Inshallah with your help we can get there.
