Ramadhan Relief 1434: Stanmore Jaffery’s raise £15,377.13 to assist Syrian refugees in Lebanon

Updated 11 September 2013

Close to 2 million Syrians have been forced to leave their homes and have become refugees.  According to the UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency more than 715,000 Syrians have fled to Lebanon.   These victims have left everything behind, and most have arrived with nothing more than the clothing on their backs.  Devastated, they are trying to survive with little money and food.

In July 2013, Stanmore Jaffery’s organised a fundraising activity where a number of individuals lived off £1.25 a day for 5 days in order to raise funds for The World Federation Syrian Refugee Appeal.  The original target was £10,000, however the group alhamdullilah raised over £15,000 to help our Syrian Brothers and Sisters in Lebanon.

During the month of Ramadhan, The World Federation’s Ramadhan Relief Fund provided aid to 50 Syrian refugee families who are now living in Lebanon. These families are at a loss, forced to start their lives over in a new place with nothing in their pockets.  The World Federation has been working with these families to assist them through this difficult time.

Thanks to your support, here are the families we were able to assist:
