The Holy Prophet (s) was asked: “O Prophet of Allah! Which of the two months possesses a greater reward, Rajab or the month of Ramadhan?” The Holy Prophet (s) replied: “Nothing can be compared to the month of Ramadhan in terms of reward.”
With the Holy Month of Ramadhan about two weeks away, The World Federation is preparing to send aid to over 15 countries where the Ramadhan Relief Fund will help ease the plight of thousands of families during this month.
Each Shabaan, funds are sent to our partnering agencies who arrange for food baskets, iftaars, paying of debts and other aid to be delivered to deserving families. This work is done ahead of time in anticipation of the generosity and support of donors from around the world with contributions to the Ramadhan Relief Fund.
During the month of Rajab, The World Federation worked with its agencies to identify beneficiary families and individuals who are struggling and need our support this Ramdhan. Those in need depend on us, and we depend on you. The success of the Ramadhan Relief Program depends on the kindness of donors from around the world. It is only with the continuing support from friends like you, that we can continue to provide respite to thousands of families during the Holy month of Ramadhan.
STORY OF ZAINAB SAIDI
Zainab Saidi is a widow in the small town of Dodoma, Tanzania. Her husband died in 2002 and left her with four children – ages 12, 8, 6 and 2. Her mother also lives with her. Zainab sells charcoal to make ends meet. But her income is very low and she cannot feed all of her dependents. She is thankful to The World Federation for the food parcel she receives during the month of Ramadhan. She told us: “It helps me put some food on the table for my family. I will appreciate to receive another food basket this Ramadhan.”
