This Ramadhan, we saw the launch of our first online campaign to provide food security for our Muslim brothers and sisters in developing countries.  People, the world over had an opportunity to share their sandwich with those less fortunate then us.

Think back to when you were fasting.  During our fast, we experience the hunger and thirst felt by million around the world who don’t have the comfort we have.  As it stands, there are approximately 925 million people are suffering with starvation.  There are roughly 7 billion people in the world today, so if we think about it, that’s 13.1% of the world’s population is under nourished and hungry.

For us, when Ramadhan is over we can get back to our normal routine, but the undernourished will still have to console their children who are crying out due to hunger and malnutrition.

By The Grace of Allah (SWT) and the generosity of our Muslim brothers and sister worldwide, we successfully raised £8012 worth of sandwiches!

We would like to thank Sister Sabina Dhanji and her colleagues from Milton Keynes, who helped us raise £3500 through Santander UK PLC.  We would also like to thank Busy Mummy's who donated a sandwich every time they received a ”like” on their Facebook page!

We pray that Allah (SWT) grants all your hajaats and those of every one who contributed to this worthy cause.
