The President, Vice President and All the Office-Bearers of The World Federation of KSIMC
UK

Assalamun alaykum

Today on the second anniversary of the killer quake that rocked us, while remembering the trials and tribulations that were suffered by us along with many others, we also have a cause to remember the excellent service and help rendered to us in our hour of dire need by the World Federation of KSIMC. The way all the office-bearers from the President to all leaders and the Project-in-Charge who visited us a number of times and shared our problems and did everything to alleviate our suffering is something which can never be forgotten.

Provision of cash doles, temporary houses, business loans and then permanent houses and repair loan in various phases were the programmes that helped the community in finding its feet. It is because of these programmes that today that while the Phase IV is on the verge of completion a large number of our community members have been rehabilitated satisfactorily:

To give you a brief summary

16 families in the Mahendi Colony
2 families in the Nagalpar Jamat house
27 families in the upgraded houses in the Al Mahdi Society
8 families will be shifted to the 8 houses being constructed at the Mahdi Colony
2 families in their repaired houses
15 families in their own houses_____
70 families in all till  today_________

The upgradation work at Al Mahdi Society and reconstruction of eight new houses at the Mahendi Colony is in progress which we hope to complete before the beginning of Muhharram. By that time 14 more families will be rehabilitated., bringing the total to 84 families in all.

This has been possible because all of you took genuine interest in our problems and were genuinely concerned for our welfare. Without saying more, we will say that we deeply appreciate what you have done for us and that we are really grateful.

May Allah give you the strength to serve the community for a very, very long time. Amen!

With Salaams and duas

Ramzanali G Damani
And all the members of the Bhuj Jamat
