Community Leaders meet in Kutch

Community Leaders meet in Kutch to formulate a plan of action for the Resettlement of the quake affected munineen.

After conducting an intensive tour of the afflicted regions The Vice President Alhaj Ahmed Hassam, and Alhaj Ahmed Daya, the Hon Treasurer, participated in a special meeting convened on Wednesday 14th February to enable all agencies working in the area to discuss matters related to the welfare of our community in Kutch with leaders of Kutch Jamaats as well as our regional organizations. 

In attendance were delegations form the World Federation, Africa Federation, Sajjadia Trust, Al Iman Trust as well as The Council of Gujarat, Kutch Federation and leaders of all Jamaats of Kutch. At this historic meeting, all parties agreed upon the following broad principles: 

1. All parties unreservedly pledge to accord full cooperation to help and assist our brethren in the affected areas in every way.
2. All parties agree to work together to facilitate the long term settlement of our community in the affected areas.
3. The meeting recognizes the immediate need for charting out a programme of resettlement based on the need and requirements of the Jamaats and individuals within the Jamaats.
4. All parties echo the spirit to optimize our efforts, pool resources, and set out modalities towards jointly implementing the comprehensive and a professionally prepared plan.
