Following the success in building semi-permanent structures in Bam and Baravat for Azadari, a representative of the World Federation, Syed Mohamed Ridha flew from Tehran and spent Ashura night in these areas. He visited and inspected all the 14 Hussainiyyas donated by the World Federation, and said that the buildings have proved to be a success as Azadari and Namaze Jamats are held in them. He said that the Shias of Bam are happy, feel proud and are praying for the donors of these buildings. The 14 Hussainiyyas donated are the biggest (18 x 18 meters) in Bam, accommodating 700 people each.
The site in this picture is of the shrine of ‘Imamzadeh Ali bin Hasan al-Muthanna’ (popularly known as Imamzadeh Asiri), which was completely destroyed in the earthquake. You can see the grave of Imamzadeh on the left. The Hussainiyya was erected on the courtyard (sahan) of the shrine, where on Ashura Day all Azadari processions from different Imambargahs were coming for Ziarat.
