T-shirt sold for £60 on eBay!

Following the newswire article a fortnight ago, the Aeinullah Eye Clinic T-shirt placed on eBay attracted a large deal of attention and was sold for just over £60. As a result of this success and a large number of donations of items for auction, several other online auctions shall take place in order to raise money for the Aeinullah Eye Clinic in Sadr City – Baghdad, Iraq.

Information on the Aeinullah Eye Clinics

The World Federation has already established three eye clinics in India (Bangalore, Lucknow and Patna) to serve the public there. We are now planning to establish one in Baghdad. All the eye clinics are under the supervision of The Medical Advisory Board (MAB) of the World Federation, with its head quarters in Birmingham, UK.

Sadr city is very large and very poor.  It is situated west of Baghdad.  It has a population of over 3 million people. Vast majority are very poor and below the poverty line.

The terrible poverty and abject deprivation has led to fast spread of many serious diseases.  Disease of the eye is the most widely spreading problem due to dirt, flies and dust, which are ever increasing.

Our aim is to open Eye Clinics in this area, which will greatly improve the well-being and health of these poor victims and will improve the condition for thousands of souls.

The approximate setting up and running cost for 6 months of the Eye Clinic in Sadr City is £40,000. Once up and running, the clinic should be self-financing.
