Appreciation to Dedicated Iraq Relief Volunteers
 
The Youth Network Desk (YND) of the World Federation would like to thank three dedicated, hard working individuals – Fatema Panju, Naseera Kassam and Aaliya Merali who worked tirelessly to produce hand-made T-Shirts for Iraq Relief.

Fatema, Naseera and Aaliya bought the T-Shirts, ironed them and made them available on sale in many Jamaats during the Chehlum period. Their work, which showed a great deal of initiative and enthusiasm, raised well over £1,500 for the Iraq Relief Orphan Fund.

The Head of the YND Kasim Sumar said, “The three sisters showed great initiative in this venture which was never prompted. Their hard work will I am sure be rewarded by the Almighty. The funds went towards helping us achieve the successful support of 300 orphans in Sadr City and now the continued sales will go towards helping the people the same city through building a much needed eye clinic. It is only through such selfless hard work that projects like Iraq Relief become a success and on behalf the YND, I thank them for their efforts”.

With this Orphan Fund now closed, the T-Shirts will continue to contribute towards setting up of The Aeinullah Eye Clinic in Sadr City. The T-Shirts are available for sale at the cost of £5 + postage and packing.
