As we sit comfortably in our homes, the plight of the Iraqi refugees may seem far away – but for them everyday is a battle to overcome. Thousands of Iraqis displaced by the war and its aftermath are now refugees in foreign lands, struggling to recreate their lives while at the same time holding on to the slightest hope of ever returning to their homeland. As our Iraqi brothers and sisters pray for a return to their homes, we who are blessed to be free from their toil are duty-bound to act for their assistance.
Thus in an attempt to provide relief for at least a portion of the Iraqi refugees, the World Federation has launched a project which involves the repatriation of 200 Iraqis. The total amount required to accomplish this feat is £5,000, of which £1,200 has already been raised through the generous help of donors. The remaining £3,800 which is still needed to complete the repatriation project cannot be raised without your valuable contribution. In deciding whether or not to donate, simply imagine how it must be to live one day in the lives of these Iraqis – not knowing when you’ll ever return to your home, your friends, your family; having only hope and faith as weapons for survival.
The fate of these 200 Iraqis lies in your hands. Please donate to this worthy cause.
