The World Federation’s current main communication mediums including the Newswire, Insight Magazine, Updates to Donors, Constitutional Meetings and through Regional Federations and Jamaats. However, there is a feeling that more can be done to communicate the work, values, and strategy of the Khoja community’s supreme institution. The Secretary General, Shan E Abbas Hassam (aged 27) has decided to use Twitter to feed information about his work, duties and his strategy at the helm of our Secretariat. You may like to follow him on twitter by clicking here.

Furthermore, we will be placed his feeds on a monthly basis on the Newswire between now and the end of the term. Shan E Abbas said: ‘The World Federation Office Bearers pledged to travel a great deal this term to show the community our presence and demonstrate our work. We even pledged to travel to each Jamaat at least once during the term. Sadly, we are still struggling to reach our community members despite the excellent work on the newswire, Insight magazine and the other modes which we use. I’ve decided to try our Twitter (to complement our current Facebook site) to show a glimpse into the work that I do, as your Secretary General. If this works well, you can expect other leaders of our community to be on it too!’
