Marhuma Masuma Mawji passes away in accident –Essex, UK

Updated 20 March 2013

Marhuma Masuma passed away in a tragic accident on 5 March 2013 whilst crossing a road at a pedestrian crossing.  She was the daughter of Mahamadhussein Mawji and Mumtaz Mawji, and was one of four sisters.

Marhuma was only 25 and was studying at a College.  She was described as a vibrant, bubbly and generous soul. She always had time for others especially her family. She loved her niece and three nephews and spoiled them whenever she got the chance.

Masuma suffered from a disability that affected her ability to walk but she was very courageous and did not let this hinder her independence and lived life to the full.

Her passing at such a young age has not only affected her close family and friends but has also had a rippling effect on the community. As a result, the loss of Masuma has been felt by the whole community, even those that had not met Masuma.

The World Federation is deeply saddened to hear of such a loss.  We offer our deepest condolences to the family of Marhuma.  May she rest in peace and be granted a place among the14 masumeen in Jannat – Ameen.
