On Saturday 3 August 2013, the Al-Ahad Islamic Center, located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA, was pleased to welcome the President of The World Federation, Dr. Asgar Moledina. Dr. Moledina spent the evening and night visiting the Center and he had the opportunity to have Iftar with its members. The President immensely enjoyed the Iftar. During his visit, he also observed the many Ramadan functions planned by the Center, including youth soccer, a BBQ sehri, and an ice cream truck.
More importantly, the President met with the Center's Management, which is comprised of President Mohammed Khaku, Vice President Riyaz Kermalli, Secretary Saleem Mawji, Esq., Treasurer Mir Ali, Assistant Secretary Ali Abdul, and Committee members Yusuf and Ali MohamedAli. At the meeting, the President explained the structure of The World Federation and its many functions. As explained by the President, The World Federation is currently working on three important projects: 1) MCE (Madressah Center of Excellence 2) eradicating poverty; and 3) connecting the various Khoja communities throughout the world.
After his overview of The World Federation, the Jamaat President and management members discussed various topics with the President. Among the topics covered were the need of a gym, a resident Alim, and matrimonial challenges in the community. The President expressed his desire to aid the community with its various projects and provided his thoughts on each subject.

The Allentown Management Committee thanks the President for his visit and hopes that he will return in the near future.
