During the month of March, Dr Asgarali Moledina, accompanied by CoEJ President, Dr Husein Jiwa and Gulambhai Virjee of Dubai visited Frankfurt to meet the Ahlulbayt community there.

The community there has embarked on a very worthwhile project of building a Hazrat Bibi Fatema Zahra mosque and multipurpose centre. The centre is located in the heart of Frankfurt city and near the University. The centre will provide facilities for a library and a multi-media centre together with sports and recreational facilities for the mo’amneen.

An apartment complex has already been constructed with a loan of €2.5m and the returns are servicing the loan with extra income for the running of the centre. Three of the apartments are available for visitors on a short term basis, which would be ideal for businessmen visiting the city for exhibitions or short business trips.

During the visit, Dr. Moledina stated, “It is encouraging to note the progress in Denmark in furthering the madhab of the Ahlulbayt (as) in Denmark. Our visit to Frankfurt and Copenhagen allowed us to interact with the community and spend some time with the members and learn about the progress they are making.
