While attending the Sixth Executive Council meeting for the term 2011 – 2014 (EXCO) meeting in Mumbai, The World Federation President, Dr. Asgarali Moledina accompanied by The Africa Federation President, Anwarali Dharamsi and AFED Secretary General Aunali Khalfan took time to visit the Bhavnagar Jamaat and the Sarkhej Jamaat in Ahmedabad.
Prior to the start of the EXCO, the President’s visit to the Sarkhej Jamaat was also graced by the presence of the Conseil Regional President, Navaz Molou and Secretary General Anil Jivan.
In Ahmedabad, the President was briefed by the President of the Sarkhej Jamaat, Nasir Dosani on the immediate housing needs of the community. The Sarkhej Jamaat also agreed to raise the maximum funds possible from their own resources and sought minimal assistance from The World Federation. Dr Moledina briefed them on the MCE program and current World Federation ongoing projects. He praised the leadership in their dedication to working towards the needs of the poor and working towards self-reliance.
In Bhavnagar, the old mosque has been demolished and construction of a bigger mosque has started at the same but larger site. Accompanied by the AFED delegation and the President of the Bhavnagar Jamaat, Ramzan Asaria, they visited the redevelopment site of the new mosque. The Jamaat has also completed the construction of Janabe Seyyeda Hall next to the mosque using entirely their own local resources.

Later the delegation sat with the members of Al Mustafa Society which distributes business loans to upcoming youths so that they may prosper. The scheme is running very successfully without any defaults at all.

In the afternoon, Dr. Moledina accompanied by Anwarali Dharamsi and Aunali Khalfan met with the members of The Husaini Education & Welfare Society Trust at the residence of Muhsin Dharamsi, and reviewed the work being done. The work done by the trust was appreciated and the President commended them on their transparency and accountability.
