Shia pilgrims attacked in Western Iraq

 The World Federation has sadly learned that a group of 22 Shia pilgrims were shot dead in Iraq’s Western Anbar Province.

The group was travelling by bus from Karbala to Damascus when gunmen forced the 8 women out of the bus and killed the men.

The Zawars were travelling to visit the Shrine of Bibi Zainab in Damascus. The World Federation requests all mu'mineen to pray for the safety of our community in Iraq.

Shan-E-Abbas Hassam, Secretary General said: “We are really sad to hear about this attack on Zawwars who were about to perform their Ziyarat in Syria. Let us pray for the safety of Momineen and the early reappearance of the 12th Imam (aj), to establish truth and justice throughout the world and bring an end to acts of oppression and terror, ameen”
