The President of The World Federation of KSIMC, Dr Asgharali G K Moledina, under Clause 19.1.2 [c] of the Constitution has appointed the following to the Executive Council for the term 2011-2014:

Hassan Abdulhussain
Originally from Zanzibar, Hassan Abdulhussain now resides in Karachi.  He is married and has 3 daughters.

Hassan Abdulhussain studied in Karachi and then completed his higher education in Commerce in the UK. 

Hassan Abdulhussain has years of experience in community service and welfare assistance.  He started at a young age as a volunteer and scout in Zanzibar.  After settling in Karachi, he volunteered at Mehfil e Murtaza from 1972, and held several posts.  He is currently serving as the Vice President for the term 2010-2013. 

Hassan Abdulhussain has worn several other hats, including an adviser to the Zainabia Educational Society Karachi, Chairman of Al-Ghadeer Foundation which caters to the needs of medical assistance, and Chairman of Save Life, an organization which assists to the needs of victims of sectarian violence.

Since 2005, he has been the chief coordinator of Hussaini Foundation, an organization which responds to flood disasters, promotes education, health services, water projects and runs welfare programmes including mass marriages and religious services.

Hassan Abdulhussain has served as a nominated councillor for The World Federation in the past during the tenure of Ahmed Hassam.

Javed Shroff

Residing in Mumbai, Javed has served as a councillor since 2009.  Javed holds an extensive portfolio in both the social and political forums. 

He is currently a member of the All India Congress Committee, the General Secretary of the Mumbai Regional Congress Committee, and President of The Unity Foundation for Peace & Progress.

In the past, he has served as Vice Chairman of the Mumbai Congress Minority Department, and Treasurer of Mumbai North West District Congress Committee.

He has served and continues to serve as trustee for several schools and trusts such as New Habib High School, Habib Hospital & Medical Trust, and Zainabiya Housing Trust.

In addition Javed has an endless list of academic and social awards and achievements for his hard work and tireless efforts.

Masum Somji          
Residing in Dubai, Masum Somji has been working in the field of advertising and promotions for over 32 years. 

Masum is an experienced volunteer of The World Federation having served several terms as Executive Councillor. His recent innovative contributions have been the introduction of Asset Realization of our Community and Capital Projects Paper which has had far reaching support from the Membership putting checks and balances on all new projects by the Members.  In addition, he has served several terms and continues to serve as Secretary General of JIBA International and has been instrumental in rejuvenating it especially in India.  He is ardent supporter of economic upliftment especially through education.

Masum has also recently been appointed as the ASG for the Zainabiyya Child Sponsorship Scheme (ZCSS).

Ramzanali Asaria     

Haji Ramzanali Asaria resides in Bhavnagar and is extremely active in several aspects of community service and social work in areas of health, education and social assistance. 

Ramzanali is currently the Chief Patron of several organizations, including Enlighten India Foundation (an NGO in the field of education), United Citizen Forum (UCF), Ittehaad Foundation (Unity Amongst Muslims), Servants of Hazrat Imam ALI (a.s.) (S H I A), Hussainy Troops – Mumbai,  Niswan Group (marriages of Shia orphans & widows), Shia Ulemaa Council of India (Mumbai) and Guiding Force : Maanavta Organization (Humanity & Brotherhood amongst Indians).

In addition, Ramzanali is also the Chairman of Habib Valji Hospital Trust and Harji Jamal Trust Bhavnagar.

Shabbar Dhalla

Shabbar is the son of Marhum Yusuf and Masuma Bai Dhalla. He is married to Tahera Rahim and together they have 2 young sons.

Shabbar gained his Law (LLB. Hons) degree at university of Reading after which, he undertook his LPC at the College of Law, London before embarking on his training as a Solicitor. Whilst at University he was elected as the Master of Moots for the Mooting Society under the Law Faculty.

After undertaking his solicitor training, he joined the Insolvency Service, the Executive Agency of The Department of Trade and Industry (UK government) as one of their technical Insolvency Examiners. He later joined Griffins Licensed Insolvency Practitioners in London and has been with them for the last six year, spending the last two years in Dubai, heading up the Firm’s Middle East Practice.

Shabbar has been involved in community service from a young age and started volunteering in Dar Es Salaam at the Hussein Madressa and Debating Society. He was actively involved in the Education Committee of CoEJ for approximately 5 years (as its vice chairman) before being appointed as the Assistant Secretary General and finally served as the Secretary General for the term 2007 to 2009. In 2009, he was appointed as the Secretary General of the World Federation. He successfully delivered the 13th Ordinary Conference in Dar Es Salaam at the end of May 2011.
