Year Planner 2011

The World Federation has produced the Year Planner for the Year 2011. Copies will be posted to all individuals on the World Federation mailing list. Extra copies will be posted to all Jamaats and Organisations, for the convenience of their members.

Those individuals who are not on the mailing list and would also like a copy sent to them, are kindly requested to click here to register their details.

The calendar is available in electronic format.  Once downloaded, all Islamic dates will be incorporated into your favorite calendar application.  It is also available for download in PDF format.

Please note that all dates are estimated; please be sure to check the website for up to date information on the new moon each month.

Usage Instructions

Outlook (Windows)

  1. Save the Electronic Year Planner on your PC where you can find it easily.
  2. Load up Microsoft Outlook™.
  3. Go to File > Import/Export.
  4. Choose Import an iCalendar or vCalendar (.vcs) .
  5. Browse to the file you saved earlier and click Next.
  6. All of the dates in the Electronic Year Planner 2010 are now in your calendar.

Outlook 2010

  1. In Outlook 2010 Click on the File Tab -> Open -> Import
  2. Choose the location where the iCalendar (.ics) file is saved and Click on Ok.
  3. Once the file is chosen the data will import to Open as New or Import
  4. When the Open as New is chosen the file will open as a separate Calendar beside the Personal Exchange Calendar. Click the Import to actually import the data to your calendar.


Windows Calendar

  1. Save the Electronic Year Planner on your computer where you can find it easily.
  2. Open the file and select "Create New Calendar" as the destination when prompted and click on import
  3. All of the dates from the Electronic Year Planner are now in your calendar.

Google Calendar

  1. Login to your Google Calendar and then, go to add --> Import Calendar and click on "Add by URL".
  2. Enter this address: http://links.world-federation.org/ElectronicYearPlanner2011 and click on 'import'
  3. All of the programmes in the Electronic Year Planner are now in your calendar.

iCal (Mac)

  1. Click this download.
  2. Save the file.
  3. All of the dates in the Electronic Year Planner 2010 are now in your calendar.

Microsoft Entourage for OS X

  1. Save the Electronic Year Planner on your PC where you can find it easily.
  2. Click on the downloaded file while holding down the Control key.
  3. When the pop-up menu appears, click Get Info.
  4. In the Info window, choose the Open with option, then browse to the location on your hard drive where the Entourage program is located.
  5. When you find the program, double-click on it to select it. (The program is probably located in your hard drive's Applications folder).
  6. Close the Info window.
  7. Double-click on downloaded file to import into Entourage. Entourage will first open the calendar items, and then import them.

Lotus Notes

  1. Save the Electronic Year Planner on your PC where you can find it easily.
  2. Drag the downloaded file on to you Lotus Notes Calendar.
  3. When prompted choose the calendar and import all.
  4. All of the dates in the Electronic Year Planner 2010 are now in your calendar.

iPhone

  1. Go to the settings option on the iPhone
  2. Under settings, select mail, contacts, and then calendar
  3. Select add account
  4. Under account, select other
  5. Choose add subscribed calendar
  6. Under server, add the following link:
  7. http://links.world-federation.org/ElectronicYearPlanner2011
  8. Select ‘Next’ on the top right corner
  9. Select Save
  10. The Year Planner should now be accessible on your iPhone
