The education team of the World Federation would like to make this search easier for you and present to you the Scholarship for PhD students looking to study in Australia.


University of the Sunshine Coast offers scholarship for pursuing PhD or Master by Research in the areas of exercise physiology and cardiovascular disease. Applicants from a non-English speaking background must demonstrate English proficiency (e.g. minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5 with minimum 6.0 in each no subtest). Domestic and international students can apply for this scholarship. Application should be submitted till 30th August 2013.

Eligibility:
 To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
-Hold a Bachelor degree with honours class II Division I, or have an equivalent level of attainment via previous study, work experience, research publications, referee’s reports and other research experience; and
-Applicants from a non-English speaking background must demonstrate English proficiency (e.g. minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5 with minimum 6.0 in each no subtest)
-Recipients must maintain satisfactory progress as a full-time candidate at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Scholarship Open for International Students: Domestic and international students can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Description: This scholarship provides an opportunity to undertake a PhD or Master by Research in the areas of exercise physiology and cardiovascular disease. The research program will investigate the relationship between exercises, blood flow and muscle capillary growth in patients with Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and/or Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA). This is a unique opportunity that will provide experience and training in clinical and laboratory based research methods.

Duration of award (s): Scholarship is offered for three years.

What does it cover? The scholarship will provide Stipend (living allowance) A$24, 653 per annum tax free for three years (2013full-time rate); and
-Tuition fees for the standard duration of the PhD program (three years);
-Standard Overseas Student Health Cover policy (international student)

How to Apply: The mode of applying is by post. Please complete the form electronically print out and sign, DO NOT hand write.
-Only hard copy applications can be accepted, in order to meet the definition of original or certified documents. Please do not email your application; scanned copies of transcripts cannot be accepted.
-Students must complete questions 1-8, and appendices A-E (Academic Background, Research Focus, Research Publications, Relevant Professional Research Experience, and Academic Referees).
-Applicants from a Non-English speaking background must attach original evidence of proficiency in English. Failure to do so will result in your application being deemed ineligible.
-Students must attach original or certified copies of all previous tertiary qualifications undertaken. Where original transcripts are in a language other than English, you must provide transcripts in the native language as well as official translated English transcripts. Failure to do so will result in your application being deemed ineligible.
