The deadline for applications for The Second City of Knowledge (Madinah al-Ilm) Short Course organised by The Islamic Education Board (IEB) of the World Federation, in collaboration with Africa Federation, CoEJ, NASIMCO and Our Partners in Qum, has been extended to Sunday 15th May 2005.
The course, which shall take place in the Holy City of Qum from 31st July to 28th August 2005 is for youth aged between 18 to 24 years, boys and girls, who shall be in separate camps.
The academic part of the Course will primarily focus on Aqaid (Islamic Theology), Akhlaq (Islamic Ethics) and Ahkam (Islamic Laws). There will also be a number of other Islamic subjects as well as short talks, discussions and question and answer sessions.
The cultural aspects of the Course include ziyarat trips, meetings with high-ranking personalities and scholars, visits to academic centres, Dua programmes, sports and recreational trips to cities of cultural interest and natural beauty.
The camp, which is heavily subsidised, costs £599 / US$850 / Canadian$2,100, all inclusive. For an application form email: ieb@world-federation.org
