‘Youth Engagement in Community Prosperity’ – Toronto, Canada

Updated 25 November 2008

On 29 November, the Islamic Community of Afghans in Canada is hosting an event titled Youth Engagement in Community Prosperity, an intercultural and multicultural community programme.

Renowned guest speaker, Brother Hassanain Rajabali will deliberate on the theoretical and practical aspects of today's most pressing issues that challenge the youth in our communities. In addition, the program will include presentations from community organizations and an award ceremony.

The host organisation is inviting all Shia communities to participate in this programme as the need to address the importance of youth involvement within the Shia Muslim communities is necessary; therefore the topic of this event has been purposefully chosen so that all youth groups can benefit.

In addition to this main program, Brother Hassanain will be joining the community for the weekend of November 28 to 30 (Friday to Sunday), and everyone is more than welcome to attend any of these programs.

The structure of the programs is as follows:

Friday 28 November at 7:00PM (starting with prayers)
