Imam al-Kazim (AS) said,
'There are three types of people
who will be shaded by Allah's Throne
on the Day when no shade will avail apart from it:
the one who arranged the marriage of a fellow Muslim brother,
or served him in some way, or concealed his Muslim brother's faults [from others].’
[al-Khisal, p. 141, no. 162]

In March 2011, The World Federation, in partnership with Imam Khomeini Trust, arranged 4 mass marriage ceremonies within the flood ravaged areas of Punjab, Pakistan, namely District Mianwali, District D.I. Khan, District Muzafargarh & District Rahim Yar Khan.

A total of 105 couples were assisted under this programme (50 Sadaat and 55 Non Sadaat). The World Federation would like to extend its appreciation to the Mohsin and Fauzia Jaffer Foundation of US for funding this initiative.
In the midst of the extreme hardships that these, our brothers and sisters in Islam, have faced, and as their struggles to recoup and rebuild their lives continue, it is indeed a great pleasure, honour and privilege – a blessed bounty from Allah swt – to be able to bring a ray of sunshine – of hope – to their lives, holding all the promise of a dazzling new start and a bright future ahead, Insha’Allah.
Certainly, the ambience at the festivities, consisting of festoons of vividly patterned, brightly hued reds, greens, blues and golds gracefully strewn over every surface and reflected further in the heavily embroidered wedding attire of the brides and grooms, bore striking visual testimony to the gladdened hearts and joyful countenances of all concerned. One was greeted by beauteous, beckoning smiles everywhere one looked! A truly satisfying feast for the eyes and heart on
all levels!

The entire proceeding was captured for posterity by full media coverage in local and national newspapers as well as television channels.
