A community member in Toronto Canada has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia ,  a cancer of blood cells.  She has started treatment and whilst she is responding to treatment to cure her condition on long term basis, she requires Bone Marrow Transplant.

Unfortunately none of her close relatives were a match for Marrow Transplant, and it is therefore of utmost importance that a bone marrow donor is found. Her doctor has initiated a search globally for a suitable donor, but the best chance of finding a suitable match is from within our community.

The Canadian Blood Services have informed the family that they need donors between the ages of 17-50. They are also in desperate need of ethnic male donors between the ages of 17-35.

How can you help?
To help the life of one of our community sister and others you are requested to
• Consider becoming a bone marrow donor
• Encourage family, friends & contacts to become a donor by sharing this message – especially with young males ages 17-35
• Give blood, whether or not you decide or are unable to become a bone marrow donor, patients need large quantities of blood during their treatment
• Pray for a suitable donor match and the successful treatment this patient and all others stricken by this and other blood diseases – Ameen
