Out of the total 163 patients 84 went on to receive specialist treatment.
We would like to draw the attention of our community at large to the fact that:-
- Heart disease and Cancer remains the biggest killer in our community.
- Several cases of Thalassaemia Major have come to us for treatment and the incidence is rising.
- The incidence of cancer of all organs is alarmingly increasing.
- HIV & AIDS is spreading in our community like wild fire and number of deaths is increasing every year.
- Drug abuse is very common amongst our youngsters.
World Federation resolution requires all member jamaats to ensure that all prospective bride and grooms are tested for HIV and Thalassaemia.
