We would like to draw the attention of our community at large to the fact that:-

  • Heart disease and Cancer remains the biggest killer in our community.
  • The incidence of cancer of all organs is increasing alarmingly.
  • HIV & AIDS is spreading in our community like wild fire and number of deaths is increasing every year.
  • Use of cigarette and pan/pariki has become common among our youths risking cancer and heart disease.
  • Drug abuse is very common amongst our youngsters.

World Federation resolution requires all member jamaats to ensure that all prospective bride and grooms are tested for HIV and Thalassaemia. We recommend all jamaats and federations to take steps and promote health education.
