One name that resonates with Muballigheen worldwide and many of those whose perception of Islam has been altered by its pure teachings has been that of Ayatullah Mujtaba Musavi Lari - an accomplished scholar, a writer of high calibre, a humble servant of the Almighty (swt) and a sincere and active conveyor of His Message worldwide in different languages on innumerable topics.
It has been years since the World Federation of KSIMC has been engaged with the office of Ayatullah Lari and has been blessed by his services. Recently, Al-Mustafa International University recognized the services of Ayatullah Lari by organizing a one-day seminar entitled “the Successful Sincerity” to honour his single-handed services to Tableegh worldwide.
To this end, the WF Qum Office submitted a letter of gratitude for his great and impressive work to spread the true message of Islam in the world.
Some excerpts from this letter are provided below:
“Sayyid without any stable source of income spent many years of his life in spreading the pure teachings of Islam worldwide and has worked actively for Muslim unity. In addition, his works have been so appealing and scholarly that Western academics have admitted to have flipped their views towards Islam and moreover have requested rights to translate his work in their respective languages.”
“The Centre for Islamic Thought, which was founded by his efforts, has been at the forefront of producing religious literature and resources for youths and other alike in more than 30 languages, which, without any compensation or contributions from governmental sources, mails books gratis around the world. Despite all this hard work, Sayyid always displays a humble attitude and considers this a small fraction of the obligation he has accomplished towards Islam.”
The WF Qum Office on behalf of the worldwide community thanked Ayatullah Lari for his invaluable services and prays for his long life and continued successful endeavours. In addition, the Office commended the efforts of Al-Mustafa International University in organizing a befitting honour for such a distinguished personality.
Ayatullah Mujtaba Musawi Lari also from his behalf has thanked all members of the World Federation and has conveyed his Salaam & Duas to the Khoja community worldwide.
The seminar was attended by hundreds of scholars and great Olama & Maraje of Qum including hundreds of guests from different cities of Iran. Personalities such as Ayatullah Shaykh Misbah Yazdi, Hujjatul Islam Shaykh Alireza A'arafi (Head of al-Mustafa Int’l University) and Dr. Ali Larijani (Iranian Parliament) were among the speakers.
Great Maraje like Ayatullah Nassir Makarim Shirazi and many of the main organizations in Iran sent their messages as well and the Ministry of post & telecommunications issued new stamps with the picture of Ayatullah Lari.
The news was broadcasted by many national and satellite channels, newspapers and magazines within and outside Iran.
Dr. Asgharali Moledina, President of The World Federation commented: “I am very pleased to see that the existence of The World Federation's Qum Office has strengthened our relationships with great scholars such as Ayatullah Sayyid Lari. Inshallah, we will continue to engage and interact with various group and individuals throughout the world.”
