Bilal Muslim Mission Tanzania commemorated the Wafat of The Holy Prophet (saw) in various locations.
Tanga
Bilal Muslim Mission Tanga branch organised a procession at Mkumbara Centre commemorate the wafat of The Holy Prophet (saw) on 28 Safar 1431.
Mkumbara is a village on the foot of the Usambara Mountains. Those residing in this village were first introduced to Islam by Dr. Kanju. Bilal Muslim Mission Tanga branch has since constructed a mosque and a madrassa to facilitate the residents.


This was the first time in the village’s history that Muslims have gathered to mourn the Prophet Muhammad (saw).
Zanzibar
Bilal Muslim Mission Zanzibar branch commemorated the wafat of the Prophet on 28 Safar 1431 with a procession from Matemni to Hujjat masjid. Participants from Pemba and Dar es Salaam contributed with their euologies while Sheikh Abdulrazzaq of Arusha spoke of the importane of knowledge as portrayed by the Holy Prophet (saw) and how the success of the Muslim communities lies in its perserverance and achievement.
Sheikh Jalaal narrated teh emotional departure of the Prophet of Islam from this workd which was received with great grief and sorrow from the croweds.
Bilal Zanzibar has kept the tradition of commemorating the death anniversary of the Prophet and has seen the participants increasing year over year.

Duga
A procession was conducted at Duga Maforoni, a town bordering Kenya for the first time since its opening in 2007. The procession was attended by other institutions from Tanga as well as from different sects around Duga Maforoni.
Sheikh Hashim led the prayers after the procession and prayed for the appearance of the true leader from the Prophet’s progeny.
