Competition for Madrasah students: Name our latest book!

Updated 27 February 2013

In 2013, The World Federation is going to publish a book on the daily prayers (‘Salah’ / ‘Salaat’ / ‘Namaz’) that is aimed at Madrasah students in their final classes, typically aged 12-14.

We are now running a competition for all community Madaris throughout the world to suggest a catchy title for this new book.

Important details that will assist you in coming up with a title:

- It is about the importance of prayer
- The book uses the Arabic term ‘Salah’ throughout the book
- It covers all the main aspects of prayers including: sincerity, importance of prayer times, presence of mind and heart, importance of congregational prayers
- It will be dedicated to Imam Ali (as)

A glimpse of some of the chapters and sections of the book to give you an idea of the style and contents:

- Salah: The Best Worship
-  The Sincerity of Bilal
- Salah: The Mi’raj of a Believer
-Negative consequence of delaying prayer
- How to Improve Concentration in Prayer
- Sins that Prevent the Acceptance of Salah

Points to bear in mind when thinking of a title:
- Make it catchy
- Bear in mind the target audience: Madrasah students aged around 12-14
- It will be distributed all over the world, so the words used should be understood by people in different continents
- It should be in English (we may run similar competitions for other languages at a later date)
- The word ‘Salah’ can be used in the title

Who can enter this competition?
All current Madrasah students (boys and girls) of any KSI community Madrasah, aged 17 or under
