The World Federation has recently provided a number of resources to Madrasah teachers and students that are pursuing a GCSE in Islamic Studies as per the AQA examination board specification. These resources were:

1. A series of 10 Mind-maps  on the Unit 8 and Unit 9 specification
2. A USB flash drive containing resources to help teachers including lesson plans and slides

Sister Zahra Kanani from Hyderi Islamic School recently stated:

"I've found the mind maps a colourful and very useful method of condensing the information contained in the GCSE syllabus. An excellent revision resource."

Likewise another teacher from Zainabiyya Madrasah in Milton Keynes expressed:

“Mind maps were extremely useful for my visual learners. For short-term learning and quick referencing it was very effective. Students also stated that it helped them revise quickly before the exams. However they found it useful only when they knew the subject matter well. The resources that were sent on the USB are very useful for busy teachers. It has a good selection of powerpoints, lesson plans and crosswords.”
 
Mind-maps are heavily subsidized and cost only £5.00 per copy (plus P & P).

The resources on the USB were distributed to teachers free of cost.
