Iran Summer Camp Preparations in Full-Swing - Qum Office Hosts Planning Meeting

Updated 20 April 2010

One of the most important and most effective programmes of The World Federation of KSIMC are the renowned Madinah and Bab Summer Courses for young boys and girls of our community held in Iran every year.
Preparation and execution of this programme is one of the largest and most consuming endeavours of the Qum Office, requiring the dedication of office staff, volunteers and local assistants.

The morning of Friday 12 March 2010 was a scene of intense activity at the Qum Office. The office staff hosted an extended camp-planning meeting inviting all involved in making this programme a success – the student volunteers from the community and the local assistants. The primary objective of this meeting was a full-fledged review of the policies and procedures of the Summer Courses and refining them as required by the changing dynamics of the camp over the past years.

The 8-hour meeting began with breakfast and the discussions focused on the course policies, the delineation of responsibilities of staff members and mentors, and later tackled the 3-week long schedule of the Courses. By mid-afternoon, the meeting concluded with a collective sense of team spirit and excitement for the upcoming Courses.

This year’s summer camps run from July 18 – August 7 for youths aged 14-17 (Bab al-Ilm) and 18-24 (Madinah al-Ilm). The academic and cultural components are centered in the Holy City of Qum while trips to Tehran and Mash’had al-Muqaddas will mark the pinnacle of the experience.

If interested in commemorating the 15th of Sha’baan, our beloved Imam (atfs)’s birthday in his Presence at Masjid Jamkaran, do not delay in applying to this year’s camps.
