Meet the Islamic Education Mentors on the Madinah and Bab Summer Courses – Part 3
Updated 22 June 2011
This week we would like to introduce you to our third mentor for this year's exciting Madinah and Bab Summer Course. 3. Sister Anisa Kanji - Stanmore, UK After completing her Law and Business degree at Birmingham University, Anisa now works as a VAT consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Anisa is an active community worker. She is a member of the CoEJ Youth Desk and was previously involved in the Abbasi youth committee of Birmingham Jamaat, before moving to London in 2010. After attending the Madinah al-Ilm camp as a student in 2007 and as a mentor in 2008, Anisa was motivated to apply again this year due to the inspirational and spiritually uplifting trips that she experienced in the previous years.
Anisa comments: ‘I am extremely excited at being given the opportunity to go to Iran as a mentor. Every trip to Iran is special but the opportunity to go as a mentor to serve the guests of Imam Ridha (AS) and Bibi Masuma (AS) is truly an honour.’
