Muharram 1431: Bilal Islamic Centre – Tanzania

Bilal Islamic Centre hosted Sheikh Abdillahi Nassir, Sheikh Jalaal, Sheikh Musaabbah, Sheikh Mullaba and resident Imam, Sheikh Hashir during Muharram majalis. Eulogies were recited in Kiswahili and Arabic.

Sheikh Abdillahi Nassir spoke on the waging of war on the Family of The Holy Prophet (saw) for three genereations which resulted in the tragedy of Kerbala. He spoke of how this war began with Abu Sufyan on The Holy Prophet (saw), then Muawiyah on Imam Ali (as) and finally Yazid on Imam Husain (as).

Sheikh Jalaal stressed the importance of steadfastness of faith in these turbulent times by taking the example of Imam Husain (as).
