The World Federation’s visit to Mumbai

Updated 29 September 2010

The Islamic Education team of The World Federation of KSIMC visited Mumbai between 30 July and 1 August 2010 and looked into a number of avenues to increase Tableegh work there.

The Team participated in the Ulama Conference that was organised by Najafi House. Sayyid Ali Naqvi, Assistant Secretary General for Islamic Education, delivered a keynote address on the importance of empowerment of the Ulama by making them self-sufficient. Sayyid Ali shared a number of areas with the Conference attendees where WF Islamic Education could add support and assistance to the work they do.

Sayyid Ali Naqvi commented, “Our brief trip to India was extremely fruitful. We managed to build bridges with the organisations and our community and have established positive collaborative relationships with them. The needs in India are immense and Islamic Education is putting into motion a number of initatives to meet these needs. I pray for the tawfeeq to be able to deliver this and for the community’s unflinching financial and moral support.”
