Verse 8 of Sura al-Saff states: They (the disbelievers) desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths but Allah shall perfect his light, though the faithless should be averse.

Sayyid Shabbar Mahershah commenced his lecture commemorating the 30th day after the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (as) and his companions.
 



Sayyid gave an explanation on the foundations of Positivism, Logical Positivism, and how these theories contrasted with Islamic positions.

The programme was well attended and began with recitation of The Holy Quran followed by Marsiyah, Lecture in Gujarati, and Nauha and concluded with Niyaz.
