The Stanmore Jaffery's Tube Collection is back once again! On Thursday 24 April 2014 we're inviting the community to collect money at several Zone 1 and 2 tube stations in London order to raise funds for The World Federation Ali Asghar Water Appeal. All funds raised through this appeal will be used to provide clean water and sanitation to some of the poorest communities in Pakistan. In particular, funds raised through this tube collection will be used to restore handpumps and build new wells.
The Ali Asghar Water Appeal is an initiative by The World Federation that has been running for a number of years. Since that time, thousands of individuals have benefitted from clean water and sanitation. One of the most recent projects under this appeal took place in December 2013 when 101 hand pumps across Pakistan’s poorest villages were constructed. Read more
