The World Federation’s ‘Fill My Cup – Back to School Campaign’ provides students ages 6 to 14 across schools in Kenya with a hot and nutritional porridge breakfast each morning. Since the start of this campaign, we have filled over 50,000 empty cups with porridge.
This breakfast program is making a big difference in the lives of the children. Parents and teachers have noticed improvements in the students’ behaviour and learning at school. Here are some testimonials:
Parent of 11 year old child:
“This program has benefited my child because he is now healthy and strong. He is eager to go to school and before he eats his porridge, he has already gained something in school.”
Parent of 8 year old child:
“My child is going well in school. Before this program, it was so difficult for me to get him to go to school because he was so hungry in the mornings.”
