In most of the villages throughout Bihar, India, Shia Ithna Asheri Muslims live in extreme poverty; most of these individuals are from Sadaat families. The annual Ramadhan Relief Programme is important to the people of Bihar, where so many depend on it to help them through the Holy month of Ramadhan.
This year, 95% of the funds sent to the region were gifted to the Sadaat population, and 5% of the funds were allocated for non-Sadaat individuals.

The distribution of aid began on the 1st of Ramadhan and carried on until 15th Ramadhan.
600 people in the above villages received food ration parcels, each consisting of:
- 25 kg Rice
- 25 kg Wheat
- 2 kg gram
- 2 kg Daal
- 1 kg Mustard Oil
- 1 kg Sugar
- 100 grams Tea Leaves
