The Ramadhan Relief Programme serves Mo’mineen in various parts of the world, including South Africa. Last Ramadhan, aid was provided to our brothers living in and around the city of Johannesburg where:
- Assistance was provided to help Mo’mineen repay their debts;
- Shia prisoners received aid;
- Iftaar was served to the needy Rozedaars
The following organisations received assistance during Ramadhan through The World Federation:
- The Mustadafin Foundation
- Imam Sadiq Institute
- Islamic Centre of Dayeton
- One family
The one family that was given assistance was that of a late religious scholar who had converted to the Shia faith. Prior to Ramadhan, our agency learned that the family of this individual was struggling to make ends meet. The support that they received through the Ramadhan Relief Programme was of great help and respite to this family during the Holy month.
